01.02.2010 is a palindrome. It reads the same forwards as backwards which is very rare and only happens 9 more times this century. It also happens to be the wedding date of a very special couple. Their wedding was simply delightful, from beginning to end and backwards again. Why?Winter weddings are awesome!!

The flowers!
Courtney and Patrick married in their home, which was a church. Also, they had their engagement session in a church:)
Candles.
The couple went outside to get a few of just them even though it was a freezing 7 degrees.
Even the few formal pictures where awesome, they wore traditional wedding attire from where Courtney's sister, Whitney, is working in the Peace Corps.
Reception was at a venue I've been wanting to shoot at for a really long time, Lumen.
Courtney's other sister and past bride sang the song for the first dance.

The shot of the girls + reflection then the shot of the guys reflection = perfection. This wedding is a great example of why I love you. You have a way of seeing things that the rest of us don't. Thanks for being a great inspiration.

First of all, I am in love with the shoes.
Secondly, I am in love with the photos of the bridal parties reflected in the water--I love how the men's main image is in the reflection, but the women's main image is themselves...and then you put the two pictures right on top of one another in the blog...just so cool together!
I am in love with the church...I had no idea that there was a church this gorgeous in town!
I love the bouquet and the great things this couple has done with their wedding! Beautiful couple!
And I am in love with what you do with pictures, Clary!

(01.30.10 @ 09:49 PM)I'm fully aware weather talk is considered 'small talk" but when your a wedding photographer, it kind of rules your world and living the the Midwest compounds this element of the wedding day. Now that winter is here to stay I can air my love for the amazing weather we had at the end of fall. Amazing!! Jennifer and Steven had the most perfect, perfect day!! Enjoy!

ohmigosh...the 17mm b&w one of just her is tooo stunning. Like, makes-me-gag-in-a-good-way stunning. MODELICIOUS. The rest are beautiful too... but that one just grabbed me. Very high fashion. ok,, you get my point.
