Trav, Jettie and Hughes drove me to the airport for WPPI, I soaked up every minute till it was time to leave. Asking Hughes and Jettie to take care of Dad and give him extra kisses from me and be good...you know, all the motherly bits of good-byes. Telling them I was going to the desert to meet friends and make new ones, go to classes and parties. Jettie asked her new favorite question...
Why?
well, Mommy loves meeting new people and learning more about photography
Why?
the more you know, the better you become
Why?
because mommy wants to do her very best taking pictures
Why?
mommy doing her very best means giving people pictures of how amazingly beautiful their life is
Why?
it makes mommy happy
Jettie stopped. Satisfied with the 5th why to get the true answer, photography and people make me happy. I'd like to believe she stored a little memory in her head for the future. Most of the time we stop at the first answer when the truth lies in the hard answer which takes a few why's to get to.
Images from this past weekend's wedding with sun and laughter. I'll show you more after I get back from WPPI:)

It will surely take much time to process For the Love which is a really great thing. I want the friends, worship, Ginny, Smoky Mountains and peace only my savior can bring, to develop in time. Then stay.Instant souvenirs from this experience are the amazing souls that came to this place with common passions - God and Photography. Jason and Erik, Ginny, Lauren, Andrea, Allison D, Rebekah, Jenny, Allison, Megan, Chelsea, Leslie, Nicki {roomie :) }, Chris, Glendon, Kimberly, Sharon, Alison H, LaRae, Allison B, Kasey, Kelly,Maria and Christina Peters.
Clary, your images are stunning. You are so beautiful- from your heart for the Lord to the outer beauty he gave you. I'm so blessed to have met you and so many other children of God, and I am honored to call all of you family!

(02.13.10 @ 11:39 AM)I am forever changed for the better. I completely agree with Glendon that each of us was there for a very specific purpose. Can't wait for the reunion!
(02.13.10 @ 06:20 PM)i agree :) each person was there for a specific reason! God is good!
i'm going to be a definite blog stalker, clary! your images are stunning- can't wait to see more..
(02.14.10 @ 12:32 AM)I just told my husband earlier that everyone was there for someone else...We all needed each other!! The encouragement was soo strong! The bonds we built were only because of the Lord! Such an amazing, life changing week!! I love you guys!
(02.14.10 @ 11:44 PM)What workshop is this? Sounds AWESOME!! I'm a firm believer that God is behind everything I do in my business. It's created a bond with Him I never expected (which has been awesome because I sheepishly admit I haven't been the best practicing Christian since I left my church back home when I moved to Muncie. It's hard finding a church you connect with like the one you first fell for God in, you know? :)
(02.15.10 @ 07:42 AM)Holla FTLer!!:)
Gail-FTL, link above, I think the next one is in November? and I completely agree that running a business, especially a creative one, God is the best business partner. Best wishes on your search for a new church home. It is hard to find one:)
(02.15.10 @ 01:28 PM)Beautiful Clary, I had no idea what kind of photographers I was surrounded by. You do awesome work!
(02.16.10 @ 06:50 AM)Beautiful Clary, I had no idea what kind of photographers I was surrounded by. You do awesome work!

(02.16.10 @ 06:31 PM)Hi Clary! What beautiful images!!!!! I can tell that you are an amazing person. I'm a mom who is looking to buy a nice camera to capture my family moments. Any recommendation? : )
(02.19.10 @ 10:51 AM)Life really is what you make of it. I'm learning this bit by bit, mostly through Hughes and Jet, they have no boundaries of what is exciting and how to make anything an adventure.

So in these cold winter months, have an adventure. Take a walk outside until your lungs hurt, build a fire, make soup, go ice fishing, kiss someone with a cold nose:)Great images Clary! Even in these blah days there is fun out there for us. I went sledding over the weekend with my kids and even though I nearly fell in a ditch and met my death we had a blast.
(02.02.10 @ 11:48 AM)Aww Clary your kiddos are always so cute and stylish!!! I can only hope one that we have such an adorable little family like yours. These photos are precious.
(02.02.10 @ 11:58 AM)I dunno why your last line made me tear up, with a smile. Or maybe I do know. Maybe it's cuz I'm jealous that you seem to have such a refreshing perspective on life. I'm thankful to have you as a friend, Clareball. xoxo Luv ya!
(02.02.10 @ 02:06 PM)Clary, I saw you Tweet this earlier today and my heart just melted. If you haven't see "Where the Wild Things Are" yet, something tells me that, when you do, you'll think of your little man. You've got your own version of Max! LET THE WILD RUMPUS BEGIN!!!!

(02.06.10 @ 12:51 PM)
01.02.2010 is a palindrome. It reads the same forwards as backwards which is very rare and only happens 9 more times this century. It also happens to be the wedding date of a very special couple. Their wedding was simply delightful, from beginning to end and backwards again. Why?Winter weddings are awesome!!
Courtney's beautiful dress.
The flowers!
Courtney and Patrick married in their home, which was a church. Also, they had their engagement session in a church:)
Candles.
The couple went outside to get a few of just them even though it was a freezing 7 degrees.
Even the few formal pictures where awesome, they wore traditional wedding attire from where Courtney's sister, Whitney, is working in the Peace Corps.
Reception was at a venue I've been wanting to shoot at for a really long time, Lumen.
Courtney's other sister and past bride sang the song for the first dance.

You two are awesome! Thank you so much for haveing me photograph your wedding day!!Beautiful, simply beautiful. I want to get married again and have you do my pictures. Maybe for our 10 year anniversary :).

(01.28.10 @ 09:43 AM)Oh Clary, soooo dreamy and beautiful. My favorite was of Courtney looking up at you and Patrick's forehead pressed against her.
